Project Management Maturity
PentaMat is an Enterprise Project Management Maturity Model (EPMMM). It is part of our ❺PATHS™ Project Management Methodology. This model helps to improve the effectiveness of enterprise project management in a HOLISTIC way.
After the assessment and our findings we are developing a ROADMAP together with you how to get to the next maturity level of your project management. The entire process is going through the following five paths:
P

Maturity of PM PROCESSES
(GDPM, PMBOK)

Maturity of Project Management DATA and REPORT structures
T

Maturity of PM organizations and teams
There are several Project Management Maturity Models worldwide (e.g., NPM3, SPM3, MMM, PMMM, P2MM, KPMMM, P2M3, PentaMat™, etc.). Maturity models can vary depending on the region, industry, organization, resource, and project management culture.
PMM Models are also different from each other in terms of complexity, layout, classification, detail, and usage. There is one common thing. Higher project management maturity level likely leads to higher project success rate. Let's see how ⓅentaMat™ structure and levels look like.
PMI.org industry-wide assessment results in 2022 indicate that most of the assessed organizations were stuck at the 1st and 2nd level of PMI's PMMM.
This is merely an example of PentaMat's low maturity profile (Level 1):
Processes
15%Acquirements
21%Tools and Technologies
23%Human resources
9%Structures (organizational)
5%PMI.org industry-wide assessment results also show that less than 30% of the organizations were at the 3rd and 4th level of PMI's PMMM.
Another example below shows a medium maturity profile of PentaMat (Level 3):
Processes
41%Acquirements
43%Tools and Technologies
31%Human resources
41%Structures (organizational)
43%According to PMI.org, neglecting PM Maturity is costly (>10%). No worries! We are here to lead you to the next level through the five paths.
